Practice at Fine Idea Farm!

At the beginning of the month I spent a week in Maryland riding ponies.  I started the trip at Fine Idea Farm with a mounted games practice.  Farm owner, Abby, hosted myself, teammates Val and Matt and Abby’s German exchange games player, Tim.  

This was Tim’s first ride on Jeeter, who was being let to him by Val for a pairs competition the following weekend.  This is the first time we met Tim and he was a lot of fun.  He also rode Jeeter very well and pushed him to be a more agile games pony!   

This is also the first time I have bee to FIF and woe.  Abby has really done a lot with the place in the past year.  The barn is so nice, and the property is well laid out and just lovely.

Ma3 was back in June but I just got hold of a couple photos that I love from it.

England and Wales 2016 – Learning Tire

In the US we use light weight hula hoops for the “Tyre” race.  Up in Wales, and many other places, they use an actual tire.  Here is Rob helping the team learn the tyre technique.

England and Wales 2016 – wrap up 1 – 2016

We managed to get so busy on our trip that we didn’t get to blog post much. 

Here is a wrap up of the trip by team rider Mackenzie. 

The mgaa international trip was definitely the highlight of my summer and the greatest experience of my life. In the 2 weeks that we were in england/wales i have learned so much and i know that i grew as a rider. Competing at world individuals was such an amazing opportunity for me, i am so thankful for krista and melanie for helping me ride such a difficult pony with all the amazing riders from around the world. This trip has given me so many memories i will never forget and i know that if i was ever asked to do it again i 100% would.

We are work out from the awesome weekend at the Cock of the North competition.  We finished second in our final in the U17 division.
