Mounted games has been a major part of my life for about 25 years and for about 15 of those years I have considered getting the games pony emblem tattooed onto my body.
Crazy right? Right.
I wanted to make sure I was absolutely sure I wanted it, and after 15 years of thinking about it, I decided I probably wasn’t going to change my mind.
Earlier this week, I decided it was time, and I got myself inked.
I love it and can’t wait to see it when it is all healed up.
My husband took this photo of it about two hours after it was done. Still very raw and a bit gross.
It’s my very own navy blue games pony, placed in the easy to conceal, back of my left shoulder location.
This is my attempt at taking a self photo of it in the mirror (so its reversed). The angle sucks and distorts the shape a little.
After one day of healing.
It is the international symbol for mounted games.
I also have another horse tattoo – hoof prints going over the top of my foot I got a few years ago.
