My name is Krista and I live in the Blue Ridge Valley near Winchester, Virginia. We moved here from just a bit further south, from the Harrisonburg, VA area.

I love exploring trails and the quiet solitude of the National Forest. My primary area encompasses August County in the south, up through Rockingham and Shenandoah counties and now Hardy County, WV and Frederick County, VA.

I am also an active mounted games rider with MGAA – Mounted Games Across America, where I compete in the Over25 division with my team, Minor Threat.

SIMON

My sidekick is a 13.2h gelding named Simon.  He is a 19 year old, Chincoteague/Percheron cross I purchased as a 4 year old and promptly bonded with.  Simon has an amazing personality and is forever trying to please.

Simon loves spending the day trekking through the mountains and exploring new trails.  He also attempts to impersonate a mounted games pony, although Simon would prefer to compete at his own, carousel pony pace.

Pip

“Willow Creek’s Peter Pan” is my 2023 Gypsy colt. He is a total ham. Curious with no fear, that’s my Pip. We are hoping he finishes out around 13.1h.

Willow

Willow came into my life in August 2023. She is a rescue that came up from TX on a van that basically dropped her off to me on the street in Harrisonburg.

We were told she is a chi mix. She is a 30# girl that is very much opinionated. Very much your typical LBD Little Brown Dog. S

he loves going riding. Daisy taught her that well. The rest of her life is being glued to me all of the time.
