Ireland Day 1 – 2014

April 15, 2014

We landed in Dublin and made it through customs quickly. Picking up the rental van was a little more challenging. Let’s just say we needed help finding the emergency break.

With Lauren in the drivers seat, and all the baggage loaded, we drove north for about 30 minutes to Newgrange.

And the rest will have to wait until tomorrow. Sleep is calling.

Team USA Socks! – 2014

March 17, 2014

In USA mounted games, socks are a key team garment. They usually come up to the bottom of the riders knees and can be as wild as the team chooses. Some riders miss match their socks, wearing different prints on each leg. Some teams like a conservative solid color.

The MGAA team that will be traveling to Ireland next month needed some socks to complete their team outfit. Those socks arrived in the mail today!

MGAA is Going to Ireland – 2014

February 12, 2014

Yep, the tickets are booked; in April, an MGAA team is going to compete in Ireland.

Congratulations to Riders: Abby, Aidan, Eliza, Emma, Genevieve and Jill

Chaperone: Lauren, Trainer: Krista (me)

The five younger riders will be on a team together and Genevieve will be guest riding on another team.

This is an amazing opportunity for our organization and our riders, and I can’t wait to share this experience with them.

I’ll be sure to blog throughout the trip so everyone can follow the adventure.
